Visual Language - Colour Theory Workshop 1.

This weeks Visual Language workshop seminar we looked at colour theory and the terminology we use to discuss it when it comes to print and screen based design.

Print
CMYK: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black
Screen
RGB: Red, Green, Blue

After the previous workshop we were given a colour and a week to collect at least 10 items of that colour to bring to this workshop. We were then given an exercise involving the items the purpose of which was to create a large scale colour wheel.
At first the colours were just separated but then as we moved them up and down arranging them in order of how dark or light the colour was and how close it was to the neighbouring colours.
Team Violet.

Team Blue.

Team Green.

Team Yellow.

Team Orange.

Team Red.

Once this task was finished we began to use pantone reference swatches to identify the precise colour of 10 of the coloured items
