TOP 10 THINGS - Ident 1 design process in After Effects

This was the first ident I did and it's probably the most successful in terms of effectiveness. The audio works well and because it's illustrated it appeals to a younger audience within families and if they are really young they can begin to associate the bears with their natural habitats.

I've scanned in the illustrated assets and edited them slightly on photos shop to give them a complimentary tone when they sit one on top of the other. The main form of animation in this ident is the bear emerging from what is representing a blizzard. This was done by scaling up the background illustration and key framing it to rove diagonally across the frame throughout the whole 10 seconds. The Polar bears face then just had to appear slowly which was don using the opacity function.
