The Concept behind this sequence was the idea of ricocheting. The letters of the word bounce enter the frame on the same path and bounce against a proposed surface, spin towards another and bounce from this second one to the centre of the frame to form the word.
These are the layers used, I created a layered illustrator file and imported it as a composition to work with. Then once the animation was finished I added the blue solid layer with a mask to create a background. Colour was a bit of an after thought for this sequence but it works just as well.

I've only used the position and rotation tools in the transform drop down menus to animate this sequence. They worked sufficiently to communicate my ideas.
