TOP 10 THINGS - Bears

I've decided to do my research for the TOP 10 THINGS on bears.

Considerations for primary research:-

- survey/ questionnaire on bears - this would cover peoples associations with bears, their preferred type and view of bears and whether or not they know much about them. Furthermore, i can find out what people most want to learn about bears
- photographs of bears/bear related objects and imagery

This could determine the tone of voice and define the context in which I present my research in the final pieces. Whether its a top 10 most popular species of bear or a more factual and educationally based outcome.

Considerations for secondary research:-

- lists of websites (blogged)
- lists of objects associated with bears
- an extensive visual catalogue of imagery of different species of bears
- research into facts about different bears, covering topics such as; habitat, diet, size, lifespan, population, history, behaviour, living habits, countries of origin, anatomy and species
- research into more bizarre and interesting facts and bear related incidents that have occurred (this would be suited for a more fun and interesting factual top 10 of things you didn't know about bears)

Along with this I will be researching into different TV channels and their personal Idents. This will cover:-

- logos
- brand & identity
- the channels main focus of entertainment e.g. comedy, film, documentary, news, education, music etc
- motion graphics/adverts
- types of programmes currently being played on the channels
- context and audience

...and overall the relation between my research, the tone of voice and the context of the TV channel.
