END OF MODULE SELF-EVALUATION |
NAME | Charlie Crosby | BLOG. ADDRESS |
1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
During this module i have developed a number of skills big and small. For example I first began doing group work in the workshops which i've never done before when producing work, which was then useful later on for other briefs within other modules where i was working in a group on live briefs. I learnt more about how to see the world and the environments we're in for more than what the just seem to be, which has helped majorly for briefs such as What is a line?
2. What approaches to/methods of research have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I have used the internet and various video websites since the start of this course to find useful resources, but i have been looking more into articles, publications and zines to find more information on the things that i get interested in.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
I like to make books and i have used my crafting strengths to make several books in responses to various briefs.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully?
I dont focus enough on one thing long enough, i feel like i flutter from one idea or piece of work to another too quickly and things are often missed out or not strong enough with the background work being varied and once or twice un planned or not thought out.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
1. Focus more on the work that needs to be done before moving on. 2. Follow up seminars and workshops by blogging, then research further into what i've just blogged about. 3. Do more development. 4. Document more frequently. 5. Tidy up my blog to make i easier to post things in a tidy fashion.
6.How would you grade yourself on the following areas: (please indicate using an ‘x’) 5= excellent, 4 = very good, 3 = good, 2 = average, 1 = poor
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | |
Attendance | X | ||||
Punctuality | X | ||||
Motivation | X | ||||
Commitment | X | ||||
Quantity of work produced | X
Quality of work produced | X
Contribution to the group | X
The evaluation of your work is an important part of the assessment criteria and represents a percentage of the overall grade. It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible. |
