I've been experimenting with colour just trying different combinations and seeing how they can bring the image to life. Although some of these seem attractive and they look similar to the artists work on my Design Context blog, it's wasn't my initial direction. I'm as of yet undecided whether or not ill be using this technique or colour at all in my final outcome.
Also the use of colour has made the images flat which isn't what i was aiming for as i was looking at 3 dimensional shapes and forms.
I think these two (above and below) work quite nicely.
This last one was created using all 38 traces that i edited so it has a more complex look. It appears really busy and sort of distracting.
